About Ryan
Ryan began his professional career in the promotional merchandise industry (K-Products, Inc) where he worked in advertising and marketing for 7 years, followed by roles in sales management for another 7 years. He was part of teams that developed and sold promotional apparel and premium merchandise programs to over 60% of the Fortune 500 companies including Coca-Cola, John Deere, and Anheuser Busch. He was also part of a team that launched a successful retail sporting goods brand of major sports league headwear and apparel.
Ryan then transitioned to Iowa State Bank, a bank network with 6 locations in northwest Iowa. Responsibilities during his 5 years included all aspects of sales, marketing, and general management for the bank with an emphasis on commercial lending. Ryan impacted the bank’s growth of their commercial loan portfolio, and he fostered relationships with strong lending partners, including the Small Business Administration. Ryan’s skills in creating complex financial lending structures and successful sales cycles were honed during his years in banking.
After these 5 years of working with corporate clients with their cash management and lending needs, Ryan joined Pizza Ranch, a Midwest restaurant brand, as their Vice President of Operations and Chief Administrative Officer. For 20 years he has worked with supply chain management, franchise development and consultation efforts, human resource management, and all legal aspects of the franchising effort. The company grew from 83 units and $33 million in sales to 215 units and over $270 million in sales during Ryan’s tenure. Ryan and his wife Marcia are also part owners in 5 Pizza Ranch locations and were named Franchisee of the Year in 2015. Ryan’s greatest professional joy has come from being part of Pizza Ranch’s vision “to glorify God and positively impact the world”, and to see that lived out through this business to advance the Kingdom.
Ryan’s passion is to be part of others’ personal, spiritual and professional growth. He believes God’s word clearly shows that the Lord created his children to work and rule the world to make it a better place for His glory to be revealed. As business leaders we are called to excellence in our companies, and that we are to bring glory to God in our work through living out Biblical principles and blessing the world, and advancing the Kingdom of Christ. Therefore, it is his great joy to assist Christian CEOs and business owners become sacred leaders, who strive to live out their faith through their businesses every day for God’s beautiful glory.
