As a fourth-generation business owner, entrepreneurship is in Matt’s blood.  He worked for his Dad in the family business and founded Doubletake Promotional Marketing, a branded merchandise agency, in 2010.

Since 2019, Matt has been a member of a Convene peer advisory group, which has had a tremendous positive impact on his business and his life.  He credits his Convene experience with increased confidence in discerning God’s direction in his business and deeply values the Godly sounding board for opportunities and challenges he confronts in his business.  His Convene group has helped him with insight and perspective on key staffing decisions, compensation models, new product/service offerings, marketing initiatives, and more, all with a Biblical foundation.

A lifelong learner surely influenced by his Mom, a teacher for 30+ years, Matt has participated in a variety of coaching, advisory, and professional development programs for his business and leadership over the years.  In addition to Convene, these include Strategic Coach, Vistage, Cultivate Advisors, Leadership Rockland (NY), and others.

Matt is passionate about helping business owners and leaders grow their organizations, thrive with their families, and positively impact their communities, all while living out their faith. He is thrilled to use his role as a Convene Chair to pour into others the blessings God has given him.

He is a loving husband to his wife, Deanna, and father to two amazing children, Henry and Sophia.  Matt has written three children’s books inspired by his relationship with his kids.

He and his family attend Living Hope Free Will Baptist Church in Skokie, IL, where he serves in the kids’ class and regularly leads the congregation in Call to Confession scripture reading and prayer.

Matt graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and political science and also obtained a Master’s Degree in Middle and High School English Education from CUNY Lehman College in New York.  He is currently pursuing professional coaching certification through the Professional Christian Coaching Institute.

True to his New York roots, Matt is a die-hard Mets fan attempting to indoctrinate his native Illinoisan children.  He and his family also can be found at many of Northwestern University’s football and basketball games, cheering on the Wildcats.  He loves hiking, camping, playing sports, riding his bike, coaching his kids’ various sports teams, and he’s currently learning to play the piano.
