Kate St. Clair
Throughout her career, Kate St. Clair has contributed countless hours advancing the missions of organizations in her resident communities. She has served in active leadership roles on the boards of notable entities such as: Orange County Pacific Chorale; South Coast Repertory Theater; Prescott Chamber of Commerce; Prescott POPS Symphony; and US S&L Institute of Financial Education. As Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Executive Vice Chair of the Foundation Board, she led the Orange County School of the Arts through an unprecedented charter transition and expansion to its current preeminent national acclaim. She also has a lifetime of applying her leadership skills through her women’s and music ministry.
A few of Kate's notable achievements:
- She grew a start-up Savings and Loan from $3MM to $300MM in assets in three years and sold the company for 3 ½X Book Value.
- She converted a troubled $30MM financial institution into a productive $50MM enterprise in the 18 months that included the stock market crash of 1987 and sold it for 1 ½X Book Value.
- She restored a failing financial institution to 1.5% ROA and 16% ROE.
