Out of a life spent building an enterprise and walking beside his first wife during her long cancer battle, Mark pared and honed and answered the question, “if there is just one thing to which you give your life, what will it be?” The answer for Mark is to love enterprise leaders while they claim their vocation as stewards.
Mark holds deep experience in process consultation, group process and process design, especially with franchised businesses and associational systems.
He has provided extensive assistance to businesses, nonprofits, and ministry organizations in guiding leadership transitions, untying organizational knots, and moving forward in mission.
Mark is author, contributor or co-author of a number of books, including, Becoming a Steward Leader, A Christian View of Money, The Selfless Leader, and Fighting Disease, Not Death: Finding a Way Through Lifelong Struggle. He regularly contributes to the Convene blog, the Christian Leadership Alliance blog, and The Organizational Muse

About Our Team
Convene’s mission is to connect, equip, and inspire Christian CEOs and business owners to grow exceptional businesses, become higher-impact leaders and honor God. Through peer-to-peer and executive coaching insight. Growing toward increased personal and business impact. Leading to an ultimate Kingdom legacy.
Because I love helping leaders and organizations increase their capacity, my time is devoted to developing and guiding teams of first-rate leaders. Every year I introduce cohorts of new executives to steward leadership, and walk with emerging consultants as they plan and build their practice.
Specific consulting work focuses on process design for complex decision making, organizational capacity-building, and managing associational systems.
In addition to the monthly One2One sessions held with Convene Team members, I am available for brief coaching engagements with executives faced with decision making conundrums. Where appropriate we draw on theological reflection, cultivation of wise and far-reaching perspective, as well as look inward to the executive’s and organization’s biases and roadblocks.
